Relaxing Meditation – Guided Meditation

Relaxation Meditation:

Relaxing Meditation is a wonderful self care practice.

A lot of us have such busy lives. It wouldn’t be unusual for any of us to feel highly strung without even realising it.

If we just took a minute and sat and paid attention to our body, it is surprising how tense or bodies can be. Take a few seconds and pay attention to your tongue and jaw and then consciously focus on relaxing them. What did you discover?  Were you surprised at how tense just those two areas can become.

Practicing relaxation meditation is extremely beneficial, especially when you do this on a regular basis. At first it may feel a bit strange to do a guided relaxation meditation if you are not used to it but stick with it.

Make Time for Relaxing Meditation

How many of us say, “I don’t have time”. Well think about this for a moment, we all have 24 hours in anyone day. If we sleep for 8 of those hours then we are left with 16 hours. Can you honestly say you don’t have time? Realistically you can fit in just 15 minutes of your day for a bit of self care. Relaxing meditation is a wonderful form of self care.

Getting into a routine with Relaxing Meditation

Take a look at your day. When would be a regular time that you could take 15 minutes for yourself?

If your routine at the moment is watching TV in bed, then try switching it off 15 minutes earlier and listen to some relaxing meditation.

Maybe try getting up 15 minutes earlier in the day and before you face the world practice listening to a guided relaxing meditation.

Or perhaps after breakfast or after the school run.

When you finish work and you walk out to your car, before you turn on the engine, get out your phone and put on a YouTube guided relaxing meditation.

It is a good time to listen to a relaxing meditation when you are on the bus or train, just put on your headphones and listen.

But whatever you decide, try and get into a routine of having time out for you. And make it a habit for a healthy emotional lifestyle.

Relaxation Meditation is good for the Body and Mind

Once you get into the aspect of self care, it is amazing at what profound affect it can have on your emotional, cognitive and physical wellbeing.

A fabulous change will happen.

Feelings of being able to cope better with everyday stresses will become apparent.

Being able to be more productive will happen, because you are operating from a clearer mind.

The body will feel the benefits too.

TRY the Relaxing Meditation

Be open minded and give a try.

Get into a routine by making meditation part of your daily routine, just like brushing your teeth.

If your mind wonders that is ok. Just recognise it and bring yourself back to listening to the voice of the guided meditation. This may happen several times but eventually with practice your mind will wonder less and you will be able to be in the present moment.
